Privacy Policy
INDwallet is built with a simple belief: your financial data belongs to you, and you alone. This policy explains exactly how we handle your data – in the browser, in the app, and through our website.
Your data, your control
We don’t collect, store, or share your personal information – ever. Here’s how it works across both modes of INDwallet.
Who we are
Our website address is: https://indwallet.com
INDwallet is a free learning and information platform — not a wallet business. We never hold or request money. For any privacy-related concerns, you can reach us at indwallet1@gmail.com.
Browser Mode (INDwallet.com)
When you use INDwallet directly in your browser at indwallet.com/mywallet, everything stays on your device. We operate with zero server-side storage – no data is ever transmitted to our servers. There is no account, no login, and no tracking. Your financial information exists only in your browser’s local storage and disappears when you clear your cache or close the tab.
We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, cookies (except for strictly functional preferences), or any third-party scripts. We don’t log IP addresses or device identifiers. In browser mode, INDwallet is a completely private, anonymous tool.
App Mode (INDwallet App powered by Base44)
The optional INDwallet App, available at indwallet.base44.app, provides additional features like goal setting, history tracking, and cross‑device synchronisation. To enable these features, the App requires a login. Your account and data are hosted on Base44, a secure platform built for privacy and data protection.
What data does the App store? Your financial goals, wallet allocations, and personal settings – all of which are end‑to‑end encrypted before they leave your device. Only you hold the encryption keys; we (INDwallet) cannot access your data. Base44 acts as a secure storage provider and does not have access to your decrypted data.
Who is Base44? Base44 is a privacy‑focused infrastructure platform that complies with strict data protection standards. Your data is protected by Base44’s security policies, which you can review here: Base44 Privacy Policy and Base44 Security Overview.
We recommend reading Base44’s policies to understand how they manage data protection, encryption, and compliance. INDwallet selects only partners who share our commitment to user privacy.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
In browser mode, we share nothing – because we have nothing. In App mode, your encrypted data is stored on Base44’s servers, but Base44 does not have access to the decrypted content.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
How long we retain your data
In browser mode, data exists only until you close the tab or clear your browser storage. In the App, your data remains on Base44’s servers until you delete your account or request its removal.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Because we don’t hold your data in browser mode, there’s nothing to request, export, or erase. In the App, you can export or delete your data directly from your account settings at any time.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Caching & Performance
This site utilises caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. We may use QUIC.cloud services to process & cache your data temporarily. Please see https://quic.cloud/privacy-policy/ for more details.
No data collection
Across both modes, we collect nothing that could identify you. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or phone number (except for login credentials in the App, which are handled by Base44).
- Your IP address (we don’t log it – our hosting provider may temporarily see it, but we don’t store it).
- Your financial transactions or balances.
- Any device identifiers or usage statistics.
We never sell, rent, or share any user data – simply because we have none to share.
