Savings Rate (30 pts): 50% savings = 30 pts
Equity Allocation (25 pts): 50% equity = 25 pts
Diversification (15 pts): 4 asset classes = 15 pts
Emergency Coverage (20 pts): 6 months = 20 pts
Risk Alignment (10 pts): bonus for matching risk to equity
Total is capped at 100.
80‑100 (Wealth Builder): Conservative – excellent financial health
60‑79 (Steady Saver): Moderate – good track, room to improve
40‑59 (Need Focus): Aggressive – action needed
Below 40 (Critical): Immediate attention required
Savings Rate = (Monthly Income – Monthly Expenses) ÷ Monthly Income × 100%. It’s shown in real time as you adjust sliders.
Investment Allocation
Equity, Debt, Gold, and Fixed Deposit / Recurring Deposit. The allocation automatically balances to 100% as you adjust sliders.
It depends on your risk appetite and age. A common rule is 100 minus your age as the equity percentage. The dashboard compares your equity to the 50% benchmark for scoring.
Based on the number of asset classes with non‑zero allocation. 4 classes = 15 pts, 3 = 10 pts, 2 = 5 pts, 1 = 0 pts.
Emergency Fund
Target = Monthly Expenses × 6 (6 months of expenses). This is a standard financial safety net recommendation.
We assume you have saved 12 months of your current monthly savings. Current months = (12 × Monthly Savings) ÷ Monthly Expenses. This is a simulation – you can mentally adjust.
3‑6 months of expenses is adequate. 6+ months is healthy. Below 3 months is low and needs attention.
Risk Analysis
Based on your equity allocation: <30% = LOW, 30‑60% = MODERATE, >60% = HIGH. Higher equity means higher volatility.
POOR (1‑2 asset classes), FAIR (3 classes), GOOD (4 classes). More diversification reduces risk.
Your emergency fund in months. LOW (<3 months), ADEQUATE (3‑6 months), HEALTHY (6+ months).
If your equity allocation matches your risk selection (low ≤30%, med 30‑60%, high >60%), you get a 10‑point bonus. Partial alignment gives 5 pts.
